THE CRISIS IN YEMEN

Despite ongoing humanitarian assistance, 15.9 million people wake up hungry every day. It is estimated that, in the absence of food assistance, this number would go up to 20 million. The rate of child malnutrition is one of the highest in the world and the nutrition situation continues to deteriorate. A recent survey showed that almost one third of families have gaps in their diets, and hardly ever consume foods like pulses, vegetables, fruit, dairy products or meat. Malnutrition rates among women and children in Yemen remain among the highest in the world, with more than a million women and 2 million children requiring treatment for acute malnutrition. In 2019, WFP is gradually expanding its assistance to reach all of them with special nutrition support. In addition to this hunger crisis, Saudi Arabia is continuing to bomb and torture the citizens of Yemen. Due to the blockade and violence, Saudi Arabia has inflicted on Yemen and its citizens, too many people are dying unjustly. 18.4 million people have already passed away. This is three times more than the amount of people who were killed in the Holocaust, which is considered one of the worst genocides in history. Please use your time and other resources in order to help Yemen, which is going through the LARGEST HUMANITARIAN CRISIS IN HISTORY.
